IT Support Specialist
POSITION
Summary:
Piramal Pharma Solutions' Riverview facility (Ash Stevens, LLC) is seeking a qualified IT Support Specialist to join our Information Technology team.
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing 100% support to the clients/end users and provides online technical resolution.
The incumbent will be providing user support and customer service on company supported computer applications and platforms.
Support the IT Administrator and users in supporting the stable operation of ASI computer systems as requested.
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:
? Shall adhere to all applicable regulatory requirements, including FDA, EPA, OSHA, and related safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices.
? Consistent support and practice of all Piramal Pharma Solutions mission, vision, and values.
? Identify and protect the original technical information as part of the company property.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
? Assist in deployment, monitoring, maintenance, data backup, documentation, upgrade, and support of all IT systems.
? Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end use workstation hardware, software, peripheral devices, and network components.
? Document helpdesk tickets and resolutions.
? Diagnose, resolve, and document hardware problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and support as needed.
? Provide technical support for e-mail, network, connectivity, telecommunications, peripheral equipment, and set up computers and install software.
This includes end user phone support, active directory, remote access, and knowledge of VPN.
? Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of IT issues for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective hardware and software solutions.
? Apply software patches/upgrades and respond to user requests as necessary.
? Practice server workstation asset management, including maintenance of network components inventory and IT security standards.
? Prepare and ensure accuracy of documentation and follow standard operating procedures.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE.
? Associate's degree in the field of information technology or computer science, or equivalent professional experience in the information technology field.
Minimum two (2) years' work related experience.
? IT certifications are a plus? Working technical knowledge of network, servers, and current PC operating systems.
? Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, standards.
